The Legacy Fund and Tuttle Fellowships
The practice of healthcare architecture is unique, requiring specialized education, experience and training.  Since 1950 the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health Foundation (AAH) and the Foundation  have supported graduate education with scholarships and funding for research initiatives in healthcare architecture.  This scholarship program plays a vital role, supporting the next generations of healthcare architects.

Tuttle Fellowships are awarded to graduate architecture students through an application process managed by the AIA Academy Fellowship committee.  Criteria for selection includes: academic success and a specific study topic in healthcare architecture.  The scholarship program is open to students throughout the United States.

The Foundation “Legacy Funds” major goal is to create an endowment to assure this important tradition, supporting student education in healthcare architecture and design. The Legacy Funds will enhance the existing Tuttle Fellowships and, working with the Academy committee, create new scholarships.

Depending on contribution amounts, the new scholarships will be named after the donor, or other designated individuals or organizations.
